Mark Your Calendars – Photo Day & Hit-A-Thon Are Coming Up!
We’re excited to announce two special events happening this Saturday, March 29th — Photo Day and our annual Hit-A-Thon! These are can’t-miss moments for our players and families, so read on for all the details.
Photo Day
Time to capture those team memories! Come dressed in full uniform and ready for your close-up.
Location: Aptos Junior High School

Arrival Time: Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your scheduled photo time to check in and get organized.
Hit-A-Thon
Immediately following team & individual photos at the Aptos Junior High AAA Field, the fun continues with our Hit-A-Thon — a day of big swings, big smiles, and big support for our league!
About: This is our largest and main fundraiser, and ensures the league can provide a great experience for all of the players and families.
For families new to the Hit-a-Thon, this is a fundraiser where the players raise donations in the form of a flat amount or a dollar amount per foot that they hit the ball. There are prizes, both for individual player and for teams with the most donations. More information about format and schedule will follow.
The top fundraisers will get a custom prizes, such as a Boombah baseball bag, pizza parties & Play It Again Gift Card(s). Each player will head to the dugout to get their name called and be given 5 hittable pitches. The farthest one gets measured, and the players with the top three distances from each division will be featured on the Aptos Little League website as Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.
You will be able to reach out to friends and family by email, Facebook, and Twitter, instead of going door-to-door, tracking commitments, and handling checks. The ability to fundraise with the support of our player’s families and the local community provides vital funds for better and safer equipment for our young athletes and helps with critical field maintenance and improvements.
We are using an online system called 99Pledges to manage our fundraiser. Each player has a personal page where friends and relatives can go to donate/pledge for that player. We will still have a system to collect the cash and checks. Players will receive a pledge sheet to collect donation commitments.
So, please watch for an email from 99Pledges coming to you. It will come from
[email protected] with the name Aptos Little League Hit-a-Thon. This email will give you necessary instructions and the link to your player's page.
Your donations will help pay for:
- Critical New Equipment For Replacement Of Old Equipment
- New Scoreboard Electronics
- Snack Shack Improvements
- New Baseball Field Improvements
- Safer Pitching & Hitting Area Improvements
This friendly competition helps raise funds for field improvements and equipment for the kids. Plus, there are awesome prizes for top fundraisers!
